Meet our Groomers
Experience/Education: Kris Satkoski is not only is the proud owner of The Gold Clipper, but has been grooming dogs since she was nine years old. Since then she has perfected her skills by attending grooming seminars and different expos throughout the years. She also attends the Chicago All American Grooming Contest yearly. Her continuing education allows her to be informed on the latest styling techniques, grooming supplies, and equipment. Before she opened the Gold Clipper she groomed at:
1. Pet Parade,” LaPorte, Indiana 1983
2. “Animal Garden,” Niles, Michigan 1983-1984 (w/ Dr. Kryder)
Hobbies: Kris's hobbies consist of riding her motorcycle with her husband and/or friends, spending time with family, especially her grandchildren, attending church activities, and traveling, She also is an avid animal lover and owns 5 of her own dogs; Captain Jack, Pearl, Calypso, Rose, and Maui.

Experience/Education: Joanna has a great love for animals, which is what led her to pursue a career as a groomer. She graduated from Paragon School of Pet Grooming in 2004 and started perfecting her skills at ??? Vet clinic. She stayed there for a couple years until she left the clinic for Pet Smart. She was only at Pet Smart for a couple of months before she accepted a job at The Gold Clipper in January of 2007. Joanna has also been involved in the American Kennel Club Competitions. She ranked 1st place in August of 2008 with Keayva--a cocker spaniel. In August of 2012 she ranked 3rd place with Bruno, a standard poodle. The following year she came in 2nd place with Heidi, an airdale. The last competition she was able to compete in with Bruno was in August of 2014, and they came in second place.
Hobbies: In Joanna's spare time she loves to ride her horses, spend time with her family, and work on her farm, which hosts 2 horses, 47 chickens, 6 cats, and 3 dogs.

Experience/Education: Tonya decided to be a professional groomer after getting a job at Pet Pals as a kennel attendant. She worked there for a couple months before making the decision to attend grooming school. Tonya enrolled in Great Lakes Academy located in Joliet, IL. She graduated there in 1998 with a degree in Canine Cosmetology. After receiving her degree, she was promoted to a groomer at Pet Pals and worked there until 2007. In 2007 she took a job at All Creature Features until accepting her position with the Gold Clipper in 2013.
Hobbies/Interest: Tonya enjoys spending time with her family, pampering her pets, especially her rough coated collie Paisley, and curling up with a good book.

Experience/Education: Stephanie has been working as a groomer and the head receptionist at The Gold Clipper for the past two years. Prior to The Gold Clipper she has 8 years experience working within the veterinarian field. She loves her job because is she has the opportunity to assist Kris, the owner of The Gold Clipper, be a strong leader towards her coworkers, and make sure our clients have the very best experience possible. Her grooming philosophy is "that no pet should ever have a bad hair day!"
Hobbies/Interest: When Stephanie is not working at the salon, she is business being a mother to her 3 daughters and a wife to her husband, Chris. She also loves spending time in her garden, to curl up with a good book, and compete in agility with her mother's Miniature Australian Shepherd, Quigley. Stephanie also has her own Border Collie, a Labrador Mix, 4 cats, and multiple chickens and ducks on her families farm.

Experience: Renee has been working with animals for over 20 years. She started as a veterinarian tech and decided she didn't like losing dogs so she decided that grooming would be a better occupation for her.
Hobbies: Renee loves spending time with her family, her two dogs, Josie and Gracie, and her horses.

Experience/Education: Sarah is the senior bather at The Gold Clipper. Sarah loves animals, which makes her great with all breeds of dogs. She currently has a diploma from Brown Mackie in Veterinary Technology and interned at All Creature Features for 6 month before accepting a position at the Gold Clipper in May of 2014. She loves her job because she gets to work with different type of dogs all day long. Sarah has this patience about her which makes her unique in this field. She is great even with pets that may seem timid at first.
Hobbies/Interests: Sarah loves spending time with her son, Connor, and her husband, Chris. They like to take their pit bull, Patch, to the park and spend nights snuggled up watching a good Disney movie.
